Converting FW tank to SW QT Tank

    What all needs to be done with the filters? I assume the bacteria is different in them? I plan on adding some LR rubble to the filters ( fluval canister ).

    Yes, the bacteria is different. Just clean out the filters and replace all the filtration media. You can jump start the QT tank with filtration media from your main tank or try marielands biospira which I have had good luck with. Although if you are using antibiotics in the QT tank dont add any biofiltration because it will die off and cause an ammonia surge. Its better to do every other day water changes and use ammonia removers.
