Sounds good. I think I can fit a 10g into my stand. Let me measure...

So the consensus is that the .0001 copper in Flourish isn't gonna cause me any grief down the line? I plan on sterilizing the tank and doing a good scrub on anything going into the tank.

Ok... so a 10gal will fit in my stand with some wiggle room. Guess I'll be going with a sump then. Are there any good DIY 10g sump walkthrough threads? Also.. should I now go with an in-sump skimmer?

Search around the sump/fuge section here on the forums. There's tons of good DIY plans. The design would basically be the same as with any size. All your really going to be doing is sticking in 6 baffles.
Honestly, IMO (even though some will disagree) I would still look into a HOB skimmer. Only because a 10 gallon sump/fuge is pretty small to work with already. I would rather not have the skimmer in there and be able to stretch the fuge portion out as much as possible.

I use two drilled and connected two 10 gal tanks for my sump because that was the biggest tank I could get in the stand for my 72 gal tank. A larger tank would fit in the space but there was no way to get it through the door and tilt it down. Make sure you actually try fitting it in there.

I use an AquaC remora HOB skimmer in my sump. Fits perfectly on the side of a 10 gal and saves space in your sump. Bought it used on ebay for about half the price of a new one.

Yeah with that little realestate its a consideration. I think I need to do some good research and really start to look at pricing things out and figure out how much this is going to run me. I was hoping to get running under $500 including sand and rock but I'm not sure if thats going to be realistic anymore.
