Confused about bulbs!!!

just do a 50/50 mix of uvl actinic white and super actinic, all you will ever need.!! dont under estimate them you can easily bleach any coral with out proper light acclimation. after seeing the color change from corals coming from halides to my t5s i will never waste my money on the shimmer of halides.

 

they also make power compact bulbs. would it be a wise choice to buy the compact super actinic and antinic white bulbs while I save up for t5's?

 

them pcs just came out and i have no doubt they are very nice.
im not sure the price of those pc bulbs but the cost of changing out say 4 coralife pc bulbs could prob buy you a new t5 setup. pc bulbs are usually much more than t5 bulbs. your stock current bulbs will run like 10 $ and the uvl's at 20$ a coralife pc bulb at a lfs can run excess of 30$ a bulb. and IMHO dont keep there color nearly as long as the t5's. and i got my nova 4x54 watt setup with moon lights for 200$ even at the Local salty shop. new in box.

and if you dont think 4 is enough light you can easily just add another 2 bulb strip on there for like 70$.

They have the german parabolic reflectors and are cheap.
