Concerned with my sump...maybe

    The water on the fuge side will not change because of the design. water will remain constant until pump shuts down and then it may rise depending on how much back syphoning occurs.

    That did the trick, it dropped the level of the DT maybe 1/16th of an inch, but still well over the overflows.

    Appreciate it, that makes me a lot less concerned about the possibility of an overflow should the pump go out.

    Iwould test it by unpluging the pump to see where the syphon stops. if you still have room in the sump I would plug it back in and when the water levels back out mark it. then you will know where to maintain it at

    are the pumps running when that picture was taken? you also have nothing it it to give resistance....are you sure there isnt a black catch tray with water diffuser that sits on the top of the left side?

    exact same baffeling as mine but parts missing, may be a different brand.....

    Yeah, the pump was running.

    And I didn't have my live rock rubble in yet for the sump (I'll pick that up tonight) that should provide the resistance.

    Those are all the parts I have for it. If you have a picture of what it is you're referring to, that'd be great. Do you mean a tray that would sit in the intake where the drain tube comes in?
