    I am hoping to get one thread that compares salt mixes.

    So what I am hoping people will post is;

    the brand of salt (ie, Instant Ocean Reef Crystals)
    the different salinities, mag,cal,alk that is posted on the packaging
    and if you have the test resluts for it that would be great

    I am at work right now but I will post my salt mix as soon as I get home tonight.

    I really appreciate your participation. :D

    Can't seem to locate it but jm2c. I have seen the IO facility and it is top notch.IO also sells alot of salt to other companies who rebrand it.
    I have used it for over 30 years.Still waiting for a bad batch.:)

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Nice link Vinny. I was just looking for an old link that compared and test salts but it's no longer valid link. :(

    There was one extensive test done but they mixed equal quantities of salt instead of the same salinities so you had to make the calculations yourself as to there actual values at 1.024 or whatever.Quite odd.This kinda testing is expensive.I find it odd that he didn't attribute his low ph readings with atmospheric conditions but that is most likely the cause imo.Another reason a lab is the only way to go.I will keep looking.
