These pics are a few copied from the last few South East Queensland aquarium society collecting trip threads for you guys to check out and promote the collecting side of our Brisbane based marine aquarium society that’s been around since the 1920s.

If any one is interested, this is where all collecting by the club are kept or any else can add trips in the collecting section.

    Marine fish and invert collecting.

These are a couple of the collected fish from two trips, not much wanted of late because a couple of the guys have lost a couple of fish lately due to design flaws in their set ups, the redesigning for them will start soon and than some more fish and inverts looked after a bit better.

Two trips of late have been spectacular, clear warm waters and teeming with life.

One was a boat trip that included whales all over the place

Love the heraldi angelfish, tough fish and easy going with others.

Femininus wrasse, a serious escape artist and the need to mesh the top of the tank is a must!
If you make sure every exit is blocked, they are a top fish and easy to keep.
I got five for mate a while back and by the time he found how they were getting out, three had died on the carpet, the fourth one he caught tail walking as it pushed its way lifting one of the small lids to get out.

One of the xmas tree rock areas coming back after years of removal for the aquarium trade, the new collectors don’t know this spot like the old school collectors did, so hopefully they are safe now, each time we have look the size of the colony is expanding beautifully!

One of the many red anemones, some call them maroon clown fish anemones.

This a close up of one that had a nice crab couple with in.
