Colin Hay is life affirming

so, i let the kid i tutor use my laptop sometimes. this is stupid but it's new and shiny and it makes him happy. today, my speaker "miraculously" stopped working, he swears he didn't do anything. whatever he did, i couldn't get those things to work for the life of me. my headphone jack worked but the main speakers wouldn't make a sound. so i was getting pretty fed up and had to go hunting for drivers. i installed them and with fingers crossed i randomly clicked the first mp3 i saw. much to my joy, the lucid tones of Colin Hay came billowing forth from my compy to the tune of "land down under". so here i sit, reliving my love of the brilliant aussie, now listening to "beautiful world" and slowly releasing the urge to toss that little punk a whoppin'.

absolutely no point to this story other that to say that you should check out any colin hay music you can. some favorites are "beautiful world" "my brilliant feat" and "overkill"

Speaking of Men at Work, vegemite was all over the news recently with some name change antics by Kraft.

Hey Joe, whatcha got planned on December 12th?? The WRS holiday party with raffles is that day in West Bend.

 

i gotta check my finals schedule and see what i actually have to write. i could sure use a break/drink after this semester.
