So I'm about to cycle my FIRST SW tank! :)

And of course it being my first i really like clowns. :cheesy:

definitely like the ocellaris.... but i know there are many other types out there.

should i go ahead n start with a pair of ocellaris, or what are some pros/ cons to some other types?

also, i hear it's not a good idea to put more than one species in the same tank? or more than a pair anyway?

    is this true?

    What's the tank size?
No, not at all, unless they are two very similar species paired up, like a snowflake occy and picasso perc.
Ocellaris are nice, percula are very similar but have a few differences. I recommend Skunk clowns (3 species plus Maldivian blackfoot which appears quite similar) which don't get to large or aggressive most of the time.

I love my black and white ocellaris. I'm pretty attached to them at this point, but if I had to do it again, I would have gone for platinum or Wyoming whites - of course, then I'd have to majorly break my spending rule too.

It depends on how much you would like to spend. Some designer clowns can be really expensive. I have a platinum in my 65 gallon and 2 ocellaris paired in my 90. All clowns are great and you really can't go wrong. My platinum does get the most comments from friends as it looks different, most people think all clowns look nemo
