    Hey All,

So here is the situation, I have two black and white clowns and one maroon clown (they all get along great!) with two rose bud anemones. One of my black and white clowns has finally noticed the larger anemone. It rubs into it, lays there, it is so cool watching him, however it will not bring it food yet. Is there a way that I can initiate this?

    Thanks, Les

Science still is unsure of the whole anemone/clown relationship esp when it concerns the whole "bringing food" issue.
As of late the consensus is that the clown is not intentially feeding the anemone but really "stashing" food for later. Unfortunately they store it in an animal that is going to consume it.
My clowns will bring food to the frogspawn(their host) but they munch on it moments later when the other food that is floating in the tank is gone.

    Good luck and happy reefing!

    Interesting note Frag.
Curiously, my clowns do the complete opposite with a zoa patch they try to "feed". They will bring the food down into them, but never eat any of it. I always have to remember to blast the patch with a turkey baster a few times a week or it really starts building up.

It will happen in due time or it may not. Just thank your lucky stars the clowns get along. But my prediction is it won't last. Maroons are mean little boogers.
