Well my tank is done cycling and want to pick up pair of false percs tomorrow along with a scarlet shrimp. Do you guys think I should just get the clowns and wait or would the bio load be to much if I added the shrimp as well. All my params are in check and the tank is doing very good, its a 65dt with 20g sump. Skimmer is pulling skinmate very well so just let me know before I make a noobie mistake and kill them.

well a pair of clowns is a bit all at once but you dont really have a choice if you want the pair

im not sure so maybe someone else can help but shrimps dont usually add that much to bioload so you should be ok

The general advisement as far as bioload is adding one to two fish at a time. So your pair should be fine. Shrimp don't really add to the bioload so there is not much of a worry about that either. I do warn you though to watch your clowns with the shrimp. Clowns have been known to harass ornamental shrimp. Sometimes its just a matter of a dominant clown trying to maintain its dominance in the tank. Other times it is outright harassment. Just keep an eye on them. When I had seen my female Clarkii grab my pepermint shrimp by the tail and drag it across the tank, I realized it was time to separate them. Yet, I've heard many co-existing without issue. Just something to keep in mind. Congratulations on the end of your cycle and the beginning of the fun.

awesome thx guys, the shrimp will have plenty of hiding places to run from the crazy clowns. Im very excitied with this and def cant wait but want to be patient. Ya addign the pair since from what I heard they do better in pairs plus they goof around alot more when together and want the fish to have a friend till next month or so when I start addign more fish to it. Wanted the shrimp for there goofy behavior and there ability to clean the fish. Ill take pics tomorrow after I get them in

With a tank your size, you should be ok. The shrimp will help the bioload, as they will eat the detritus and poop the clowns leave behind.
