Clove not opening....

    My clove coral hasn't opened in several days... anything that I can do about it???

    What type of flow is it in?

    Middle of the tank.... higher flow???

    Well, when I first got my cloves I put them in medium-ish flow (middle of tank) and they wouldn't open. I had them in that place for several days and they stayed closed. I moved them to lower flow and close to the bottom of the tank, and bam! They all opened up in minutes and are really happy. So maybe try lower flow?

    I have had it for about 2 months and it was doing fine....

    Oh hmm....my explanation doesn't help then!

    I know I've read sometimes corals just close up for no apparent reason and then reopen one day. I know that's not very helpful. Hopefully someone else will know something!

    Hmmmm.... all water params are normal and all other corals seem fine.

    notice any crabs or anything picking at it. maybe at night when lights out. any chance some dried up salt may have benn rubbed off and fell into the tank and settled on it. idunno just some ideas
