Thanks...I love the coloring on it. Not sure how long it has been there.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks to be a sponge but I would not be surprised if it was not a type of Colonial Tunicates as well. Need a closer image.

    This is not my image.

I'll try to get a closer picture when I get home. It really is different looking.

Are Colonial Turnicates good or bad?

Harmless, usually like the water to not be aggressively polished. Most die off but the smaller colonial types can do just fine.

Must be why it is looking so good. The only thing I do to this tank is water changes and still need to test for iodine and calcium.

That rock has been moved several times over the past few month. I bought it when my coral guy got his shipment from the Indo Pacific. Then it went into the main tank where it was for about 2 months, then moved it to the Bio Cube about a month and a half ago. If it was a sponge, wouldn't it already be dead as I have taken it out of the water a couple times.

    Air kills sponges right?

BTW...I just brought up some images of the Colonial Tunicate. Some of those are beautiful...hope that is what it is.:balloon3:

I'll try to get some close up pictures but don't know how hard it will be.

Depends on the type of sponge.

Can't wait to see it when it grows some more.

:dunce2::dunce2::dunce2:Here is the best pictures of it I could get.::)

It's really got some nice markings.

In the last picture I tapped the mushrooms away and it does seem to be a little bigger than I thought it was.

Probably should have pushed them away before I started taking pictures.....Duh:dunce2:

This morning, I talked to my coral guy, Tim over at Woos Aquatics, and he said he knew people were getting some of the Colonial Tunicates in that shipment...... ::)..... One guy got a Neon Green one.....ooh...You can always count on Tim for the unusual hitchikers.

Also, I discovered another unusually hitchiker if anyone wants to check out the new thread I started.:hammer:

Here is a picture of it.
