Organic carbon can cause bacterial films. Really just trying to figure out if it is even bacterial or something else. Could also just be something decaying or could be a fungus. Have the zoanthids opened recently since whatever it is, appeared?

They open everyday like normal everything does the one thing that concerns me is its spreading upwards and today its on my SPS. I just tried to blow it off with a PH but that didnt work. Im kinda at a loss, what would cause a fungus?

Test your parameters, if anything is out of wack and correct it. Do you run a skimmer? How much flow do you have?

Yes i do run a skimmer and i have 5350gph flow in a 75gal plenty for a SPS tank lol This issue is more then something to do with parameters im guessing.

I think its some sort of bacteria? but need a confirmation and a way to get rid of it?

Sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure it's a fungus though, bacteria dosn't usually takeover like that. You may try removing and dipping in Furan 2.

I can't find anything specific about fungus at the moment. This article describes Furan 2 dips for zoapox, but I know some people have reported success with Fungus as well. Also people have had success with iodine dips.
