    I'd attack why you have hair algae in the first place. What are your water parameters?

    its a year old i have no H A in the dt its just the the spaces behind the wall of my rr tank

    i had a hard time with hair algea in the overflow of my tank. Never had issues anywhere else but bad back there.

    I bought filter foam and cut it out to the shape of the overflow and placed it there to block out the light. Block the light, algea dies!
