cat good choices! I have been to all of them. I like framingham but to pricy but cheesecake factory makes my wife say mmmmmmm too. Jay at jays is to cocky and did not enjoy my exp.... Sea world have not had luck at either the kids were to stoned to deal with us and made it apparent that they were stoned to make it even remotly worth the stop. The other place on 125 is zoo creatures and would be ok if the owner would take his over openiated head out of his bum to make it a worth while stop! kevin the owner is a moron! You have been to all my stops but the distributor I deal with but seemed to have the same exp. Oh well. There is a new shop in epping lets hoe they are not retarded lol.

Jays, yes only met him once though mostly there is another guy there whenevery we go and he seems to be nice. Seaworld, we found Jays from one of their employees, young kid recommended them after saying that seaworlds corals didn't look good, now thats great for business. And the Place in framingham is definately pricey, bought a piece of Green Montipora there this week for $50 and it was only about 2" around, but you can't drive 2 hours one way and not buy anything right....Not counting the $35 in cheesecake we brought home.

Have you ever been to Aqua Corlas in Fairfield ME. I found their website the other day but we haven't gone up yet. Its only 150 miles or so from here, lol.

I have not seen that place but anything is worth checking out. Have you tried atlantis in portland? Its small but usually have something good. I like the selection at jays the best. He supposedly gives good deals if you get more then one. I got a great monti there that was about 6-7 in tall and about 5-6 around for 65.00 and a good looking plate for 80.00

I dont clean mine as long as they are running--I like the way they look covered in coraline--that is how they are in all the lfs--kinda makes them disappear.

I dump two gallons of white distilled vinager into a five gallon bucket and put two Koralia's in. I let them run overnight and scrub the next day. Let them run a few hours more, then run them in RO water to rinse......

    Just to revive this thread…

I’m having a problem where I just got a wave-maker, and every time my Koralias kick on their cycle, there is a lot of “clicking”/“chattering” of the magnetic impeller blade. My PHs are about 4 years old though, so I wondered if they are just old and need replacing. I thought that maybe I just needed a semi-thorough cleaning, and that helped a tad, but not really a lot. (I didn’t do the vinegar soak, and I didn’t do any major disassembly beyond pulling the guard off and scrubbing everything with a brush.)

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

You should probably remove the impellar and check for damage and also clean it. You may also want to do a vinegar bath as well.... It does help a lot as it makes the calcium build up pretty much disintegrate and soften up. Perhaps there is calcium build up within the powerhead and it just needs a good vinegar bath.

Thats just what happens when using Koralia's on a wavemaker and the reason I did not purchase one. The noise you are hearing is the propeller smacking into the bumper which keeps them from running in reverse. There are a couple people who have tried modding them but don't think they have had 100 percent success.Even soft start wavemakers seem to have the same problem. The noise really wouldn't bother me but I was afraid it would bother my fish.
