cleaning filter socks

    after two days of running a filter sock it has collected some junk, and happily eliminated near 100% of my microbubbles. how do i clean them? running one filter sock in the wash by its self with no detergent would be such a waste. can i stick in in the laundry with detergent then soak it in some fresh water for a while? does anyone put theres with their laundry?
