Cleaner Shrimp Died AGAIN!!!

ok so i bought 1 cleaner shrimp about a month ago, he was fine... Every night i do a tank inspection and i see everything is ok. So my cleaner was fine, and the next morning he just banished. I thought he might have molted and the shell got sucked up by the filter, but he never came back.

So a few days ago i bought a pair of Cleaner shrimp to try my luck again. One of them died yesterday... This time i did found a body but he didnt have some legs. i thought that maybe one of my fish attacked him but i dont see why. I have two False perculas and a small yellow tang. i know my clowns didnt do it, that leaves my tang.

one time when i had a flame angel...(his name was phoenix) he got sick with ITCH and well my tang sort of nipped at him, but my flames was technically dead. And when my shrimp died, right before, he was nipping at him too, but again he was already sick...(but he was missing some legs though when he was sicK)

so my question is... Is my yellow tang attacking my other fish? if so whats can be the reason? i heard Tangs arent agressive to shrimp or animals that dont look alike. and if he did, why is it only the sick fish/ shrimp? he has never attacked my clowns in any way.

Im so confused on what to do.

 

How long has your tank been set up? Have you ever treated the tank with any meds like copper for the ICH your flame had for example? Inverts are a lot more sensitive than fish and require a longer time to acclimate also. What are your parameters/levels?

 

My sailfin likes to get cleaned by my peppermints.. if they dont do it fast enough he nips at them.

nitrate, nitrite 0
i dont have a phosphate test
ph 8.3

i havent treated the tank with copper or anything. If i see any rise on ammonia or nitrite/nitrate (which is very rare) i use Prime to solve the problem right away. ( never had any rise when my shrimp were there though).

my tank is about...4-5 months old

 

i forgot to mention.... my tang goes to the cleaner shrimp very often, i supposed to get cleaned, but they all have refused to clean!! ( they might be on an union strike). adding to my Main problem, what could be the cause of that?

your not acclimating them long enough......they need to be acclimated for like 2 hours or more.....they are very delicate, and willl most def. die. if not properly done

 

i did the acclimation like for an hour and a half, because that day we went to a restaurant to eat and i left them acclimating. as i assume, it took us more than an hour to comeback.

 

what else is in the tank? other shrimp?

 

i have a small yellow tang and two clowns. and i still have one shrimp.
