Cleaner Shrimp, Coral Frags

I'm new, so please bear with me..

I have a 55 gal, 2 clowns, 4 hermit crabs, 2 cleaner shrimp, a few snails ( 5 ).. Around 3 months old, been going SLOW, everything is fine.

I have a few, Toadstool Leathers, and some Mushrooms...
When I bought the mushrooms a very small one was coming loose.
The guy at the LFS showed it to me, And that I could place it somewhere else in my tank.. I did..

After a couple days, it looked like something moved it.. I checked and it looked cut to shreads..??
I'm 99.9% sure, my cleaner Shrimp ( two ) mistook it as food, Now I have
Around 8 frags coming.. some ricordia/ricordia yuma All Mushrooms..
They may only be as big as a quarter.. Should I remove my shrimp for awhile..??
The one they cut up. was white, had a mouth that would open, was turning into a mushroom from a cutting, split. Or whatever..
But would look like food to my shrimp, I think..I'm sure y'all know better then I..
I feed my fish, etc good. My shrimp eat like PIGS !!

I keep an good eye on my tank, and for anything new hitch hikers, etc..
Nothing else has been bothered..

I did move the cut up one to another tank..
But was worried about the 8 frags, I have coming in..
I guess they will be big enough, the Shrimp will not mess with them..??
I just have alot of money tied up in them..
