    hi guys

i've had my maroon clownfish for one month now. i have noticed her clamping her fins and tilting her body for like ONE second, once in a while since yesterday. and her poop appear to become greenish stringy too. ( it was brown and fine last time ) . Could it be worms / internal parasites? weird that she's showing symptoms after so long.. sigh :-/ any idea what's the problem? ( she's eating great like usual )

i feed her mix of NLS and formula 1 pellets, cyclop eeze and bio encapsulated brine shrimp. she rejects anything else. picky eater. she's acting normal othewise..

What was the food she was eating before you took her in? You may be just feeding her a better diet than what she's used to...lol...???

What does the body look like? I would soak the food in garlic to try to help it fight whatever it might be. I had a clown that once looked like how your describing that had ich. I had a clown look like hwo your describing, eating well and all one day and the next day it deteriorated fast and I lost it to ich that was brought in with a new addition. What other inhabitants are there, any new additions? Do you have a quarantine tank, any pictures?

If the feces is green, it most likely that its just eating more veggies than usual, possibly even from grazing. Generally, when they get internal parasites real bad, it will turn white.
It could be the pellets. I don't recommend feeding them, but if you must, make sure to soak them really well before feeding. They will expand as being digested/getting wet, and if they eat enough of them, it can cause bloating and worse case blockage.

Sounds reasonable to me. Meat up the diet for the clown. Generally, they need more meat than veggies.

yeah it is probably the pellet . she loves it and it's like the only food she eats. she doesn't eat mysis and those pieces of shrimpmeat she'll eat and spit. her tummy is a little bloated based on my observation. she has just recovered from ich 2 weeks ago. hwo about the ocassional tilting and clamping??

she eats brine shrimp but not mysis shrimp. what other meaty stuff cani feed her? she doesn't like those pieces of shrimp meat either! if her poop was fine last time, is it possible that she has internal parasites inside? i don't think they sell medicated food here :(

Well, if she was bloated, it would just be because of the whole uncomfortable aspect of it. We might tilt and cramp if we were bloated too ;)
