clam help

ok this is going to be short because i dont what them to spread. i just got my first calm today and i just saw 3 tiny aptasia near the mantel. what shold i do. i dont want them to spread. and i dont want to was 80 dollers on this calm what shold i do?

 

people have had good luck with joes juice. also theres this stuff called aiptasia x from red sea that supposed to be perfectly safe for everything. hopefully someone else with more expertise will chime in but thats a good place to start.

 

ya i have used them both in other tanks but i didne tknow if they would be ahrmful to the clams matel. theirs mabey have a centmiter away from it

 

I would remove the clam in a small container with tank water, take an old tooth brush and scrub off the aiptasia. Be very careful about putting any joes juice or equivalent next to the clams mantel.

 

I have used the aptasia x but you have to inject very slowly or you are just wasting product. get as close as you can and the aptasia will close around the injector and slowly inject solution then about 5 to 10 seconds later enjoy the fireworks.
