Also, where did you get the sockets? I like their low profile.

I looked at the Royce too but didn't fit the bill. It'll be interesting to see what you end up doing...keep this updated :).

Xmetalfan99- Not sure who you were asking. Both ComputerJohn and I bought our supplies from Lowe's. Bulb height protruding from my sockets are 2 3/4". I didn't measure them alone but I think they're approximately 3 5/8" in height.

The only thing I don't like about the pendant is having to do with open-top tanks. The black trim on top is ugly. lol. I think I may make a trim piece to wrap around it that matches my stand.

I have one of the BoostLEDs on my recent vase project. I have the 3xblue, 2xWhite. The vase is 15" deep and has a diameter of 10". I've very impressed with the LED, it has the shimmer effect of MH, I like the color and it's very bright, only time will tell growth results. Here's a pic, it's sitting about 6" above the surface of the water.

Not really, I like the look on my 29gal & it's in my fish room, which I dont want it that bright in there. The camera really doesn't do it justice. I'm waiting to get positive results first on my 29gal, before doing my 90gal. My 90gal would require 6-8 bulbs, costing $480.00 to $640.00 just in bulbs not counting the required hardware. So, I may consider building a CREE setup.

Yes, I removed the refector. It is not needed since the light is focus down & it would contain the unwanted heat, cooking the bulbs.

As the coral gets used to the light, you are going to lower as needed. You don't want to zap them all is one shot..
