Its been a while and some updated pictures are due. But for now i need some help.

I have had a Hair algae outbreak and hafe narrowed it down to my water quality. All my paramaters are good but my skimmer is a 3 year old Coralife thats not cutting it. So im Upgrading. Soon. Very soon. So please help me decide.

Their are a couple of brands that i like. All detail each. First i have a 72 gallon tank and a 20 gallon sump. Total water volume is around 70 gallons. I am looking for a 125 to 150 gallon range skimmer.

Heres a list of the ons i am looking at. I have no preferance over the other.

Key item i have found that i Like.

I like the quick disconect models that the SWC and E-Shopps offer.
I like the ability to connect a drain tube to the collection cup part.

Whats better to have in-sump or hank on Back? I can ocomidate both in my sump.

Let me know your thoughts. Have a good day.

I always prefer an in-sump model of any hob skimmers. they're just a million times better. Between those, I like the reef octopus and the pm models

I have to agree that an in-sump would be preferred.

I just got a PM RL150 yesterday, so, I can't say too much about it yet. It does seem well-built (like my Bullet-1), and is reasonably quiet.

I have had a SWC for a bit now, and really like it a lot.

I can't say much about the others you mentioned. I investigated the Esh., but couldn't get past the number of problems I had read about them.
