My 1 day old small Cherub/Pygmy Angel is pooping alot! I just siphoned out a bunch of pieces, then I come back 2 hours later and bam! It's back! Is this normal? Is my Angel going to be pooping this much, or did I just scare the crap out of him moving him to a new home? Will nassarius snails help?
    Thanks!

You eat, you poop. That's how it works for every living creature on Earth. Nassarius snails might help, but a good skimmer (if you don't have one) and more flow to keep it from settling will work wonders.

    +1...

Also, what food are you feeding, how often, and how much do you feed each time?

What are your water parameters (to see your overall bio-load) and what are you running for filtration in addition to weekly water changes?

Well I just got the fish yesturday at the lfs. Ill check my parameters quick. But I am constantly picking out poop. It is rediculous. He has been pooping all day! I havn't even fed him yet. His poop is green and it comes in segments like linkin logs. I have a 20 gallon long tank. For flow i have a koralia powerhead 425 gph and 211 gph canister filter recommended for up to 50 gallons. I've never seen a fish poop so much. It is like a half inch every half hour and it comes out very slow. Any ideas?

I just checked my water parameters. Ammonia-0, Nitrite-0, Nitrate-30. I have been battling with my nitrates. I have been using Instant Ocean Natural Nitrate Reducer for 2 weeks and havn't seen any results. My fish dropped yet another 2 dumps right infront of me. Things just aren't adding up. You wouldn't believe how much poop this is compared to my clownfish.

What exactly are you looking for? Angels have a higher metabolism than clowns. They eat more and they poop more. There is no remedy for that.

what do you suggest I do with my nitrates. Will a large water change shock my fish?
