Chemical Resins and carbon

Trying to figure out what to use for chemical and biological media in HOB filters for my first saltwater setup. I have never been a fan of regulaw carbon with FW and do not plan to start with SW. I do love seachem products and have been researching some as well as Chemi-Pure Elite. This stuff makes some outrageous claims, is any of this true? No water changes needed ever but still have 0 ammonia nitrite nitrate and phos?? I would still do WC obviously but this claim seems to be farfetched! I was thinking of using matrix and denitrate by seachem in one filter along with filter floss, and chemipure elite with purigen in another filter would this be overkill?? I do nopt have a protein skimmer or sump at this time

 

Chemipure Elite is and does everything it says!! But I've never read where it states you NEVER need to do a water change. I've been using it for 2+ years. Nothing takes the place of a regular water change
