    They used to be non-existent in the trade, simple due to their size and camouflage. We're talking about a 1-1.5" fish here.

    They've been collected in decent numbers the last couple years now.

    Not nearly that expensive these days; they used to be, but not anymore.

    $200-$300 in today's market.

    A kid at my lfs has one of these. He paid $600 wholesale for it, and he said he never even saw it:p It was the only survivor of the 5 day+ power outage. Lucky for him he decided to move his live rock to the store when their lights came back on and found him (and his shrimp). They let me take a look at it in the back room. Cute little fish, but way too much $$ for something so shy. It was so tiny

    I just can't justify spending that much money on something so small.

    Interesting story. So I guess they're hardy.
