changing salt

    I have also changed salts with no problems. You can just use up what you have remaining and the use whatever salt you want.

    when doing these w/c do we include our sump as well?

    Do you mean for calculating how much many gallons of water, say a 10% would be? It probably isn't going to make that big of a difference. I only include the DT, thats the only place were we are adding bioload (for the most part, I know there are exceptions) and most of our sumps aren't holding a significantly large volume of water compared to our DT. A more important consideration imo, would be how heavily stocked you are. If you are heavily stocked I would change a little more water 15%-20% rather than 10% for a lightly stocked for example.

    Your sump is plumbed into your DT, so yes you are including your sump into the wc as well. I would just do something 10% of your total volume of water.
