i have a pseudochromis that i have wanted out of the tank for a while but he is so hard to catch... In the past week he has consumed a fire shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and will not leave the sixlines alone!

My reef is too established to go in and rip up the rockwork and rip corals apart just to get him. has anyone heard of something different than the typical soda bottle trap or just netting him?

I feel your pain Dingo, I've wasted 8hrs of my life trying to catch a 6-line that is trying to kill my Christmas Wrasse (dumb uneducated mistake on my part adding the 2nd Wrasse). It's so frustrating as I also have my scape & corals set up to my liking and don't want to mess with it.

I was very close with the bottle method but it's more frustrating to "almost" get him than not even come close.

Good luck to us both for finding a solution, I am close to using dynamite, is that safe for the other fish???

You could try using 2 nets rather than one & direct him into a Tupperware container. O you could try a baited jar.

There was a thread on RC that used some common household type liquid to temporarily tranquilize it...I'm banned from there or I'd look.

Be careful, that can kill the fish.
