I have to assume I can't be the only person who has this issue so I have to ask:

I have 2 cats and 1 is a long hair cat and as such she gets hair everywhere. So occasionally when I'm cleaning my tank or changing water I end up with cat hair in the water and it bugs me like crazy. My only remedy is using a fine net to catch most of the hair and I generally wash my hands and use paper towels to get the hair off my hands at first but once their wet its like impossible to get all the hair off. The fish don't seem very bothered by this so I'm assuming its probably not all too bad for them. It also gets sucked up by the filters / fans eventually so that helps the immediate issue but annoys me when I have to clean it all out.

Does anyone else have this issue? And any good remedies, would love to hear them?

    Thanks!

You could give the cat a hair cut. Just make sure the hair doesn't clog up the filters.

Haha yeah, I find my dog's hair in my tank every now and then. I never thought twice about it...the filter takes care of it.

I had a ferret jump into my tank and all was fine. You could put the cats outside :)
