    I was reading somewhere onhere that carbon, and excessive skimming will remove trace elements out of your system. Is this true? I run carbon 24/7 in my hob filters and my skimmer is running 24/7 aswell. None of my button polyps have spread, but i have doubled asmany mushrooms as i have.
    Would it be best suggested to add a product like kents marine trace elements, or escential elemnents?

    yes both remove Trace, you replace some of them when you do water changes and you should supplement with something but what is more of a personal pref.
