    Newer house and turned the A/C on?

    It is not unheard of. If the room does not get a good fresh oxygen supply, PH can suffer. Your hookup of the skimmer to a fresh air source would help fix this.

    Only way to know for sure is unplug it and see, but at this point, just be thankful.

    I am glad your tank is on the way back to health.
