i have a 55g dt w/ a 10g sump/fuge. when i first started i used a cannister filter and it was a mess. now its diffferent. i have carbon in the sump and when i checked the filter media yesterday it wasnt all that dirty. so atm i have filter media, LR, and ceramic tubes in it. i have filter media in my bubble trap so i could get rid of it in the cannister and put mor LR in it as well as removing the ceramic tubes and putting them in my sump for more space for LR. is this a good idea? could i make a dark fuge out of it? think the flow is too great though. i do have a skimmer.

If you have sufficient live rock in the DT, additional bio-media in remote places is little more than a detritus trap waiting to become a nitrate factory. Carbon and GFO reactors would serve you much better.
