i have a aqua pro 4 canister filter it has 3 baskets in it.2 of the baskets have loads of wheat coloured balls in it and the other basket has 1 black foam pad in it and a thick white sponge in it.

is all this ok for my marine tank?

should there be any other type of media in there?
i dont think there is and carbon in there?

i got this from a guy who used it on his marine tank

canister media is open for interpratation. One thing for certain is you will need bio media. That is the wheat coloured balls your using. I prefer seachems denitrate personally.

You white pad will be mechanical filtration. Personally i dont use this.

Black pad is carbon which is chemical filtration. Again i prefer to use the charcoal type carbon as opposed to the filter pads.
