Canister Filter Help

So I recently upgraded to a canister filter a couple days ago. It is an aquatop ef200 and I have been noticing it spitting out a ton of microbubbles like every 10 minutes. Is this normal? I also notice whenever I bump it or another even more come out. Any suggestions?

 

sounds like it has an air pocket in it. Try opening it up and filling it as much as you can with tank water. Then prime it and restart. also make sure there the intake is not near the water line and sucking air.

 

Try shaking it while its running. There will be lots of bubbs for a couple of min but should clear up.

My canister does this especially when I first restart it, I find that shaking it and leaning it a little side to side tends to clear things up. I do get a huge blast at first but then they go away.

 

Hit the "new thread" button at the top of the page in the appropriate forum section depending on the question you want to ask,ie-filtration,diseases,etc.

 

Yup,yup and yup,trapped bubble/air pocket that needs purged out.
