My Candycane is dying. I thought I would move it to see if it needed different light or flow and the whole frag shattered to 3 pieces in my hand. (and I was being very gentle)
My question is, when it does die off fully will leaving it in the tank hurt anything? It still looks kinda cool as just the branches.

Can you fill out the ASAP form with all your params. It's hard to kill a candy cane.

If it does end up dying, leaving it there will not affect anything. That's all live rock is is dead coral pretty much.

I agree candy canes are hardy.

just make sure it gets light and some flow and it will recover. don't touch or move it too much. do you see any feeder tentacles extend at night?
