i got a candy cane in last tuesday and it has yet to fully open. could this be because of the lighting or current? i have a koralia 750 that is about a foot away and about 6 inches above it. it is on a timer so it runs for 15 seconds and off for 15 seconds. my params are kh-9, phos-0.0, nitrates-0, cal-460, ph-8.2. any help?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Try less flow, they do not need a lot of flow.

If it does not get better after moving it, post a picture.
    And your lighting please.
