can you id this-better pics

    had an older pic on a previous post. hopefully these are better pics to assist.

    long story short, it's been inside this rock crevice for about 5 yrs (no 3x it's original size) and survived some crazy stuff over that time period. ate a blue tang a few yrs ago too.

    is this an anemone? know what kind?

    ya after googling majano you're probably right. from what i've read, i suppose i'm lucky it hasn't spread if it really is one.

    The pic isnt that much better(sorry), but I dont think its a Majano. Its way too big for a Majano.

    ya i guess so. i can't find anything else that looks closer to it than majano. guess i'm lucky it hasn't spread.

    Which makes me think it's not a majano.


    How big is it? You mentioned it eating a blue tang (?). Did it catch it?


    When I have fish that die, I feed them to my anemone's and corals... but they never catch the fish and I almost always have to cut it up.

    Yea, that is weird, I do have one single majano in my tank or atleast thats what I think it is but it hasnt grown or changed in size, just moved to different spots even in contacts with coral and hasnt damaged anything. How big is it that it caught a hippo tang??
