can this be a saltwater tank???

Halogen doesn't work for coral. I've been looking at these too. I was thinking maybe Led's inside the top and gutting out the rear filter section to fill with macro algae. The Led's in the top should light the macro as well.

I'm a little sad someone might beat me to this I think it's an awesome idea.

Now you got me thinking too with this thread. I've seen the tank in the LFS. It would be cool with a clown goby...other tiny fish

 

With that outcome I would say it would be well worth the work.

 

Yea, I think the main issue is changing the lighting like the guy in the vid is talkin about

i would find it very difficult to do not only because it is small but also you would have to mod it to accommodate a lot more items essential of a reef. that being said have you seen the video on youtube of a guys fluval egde reef
