A sixline will eat the food you add to the tank. But they are experts at finding and eating all of the natural food sources like pods too. I doubt it is feasible to add enough pods to your tank on a regular basis to keep both the sixline and a mandarin. The sixline is just too good at finding it and eating it.

I don't think mandarins would normally eat bristleworms. They are too picky.

It is possible to train a mandarin to eat frozen mysis or brine out of a glass jar laying on its side in the bottom of your tank. I have done this with success. But your sixline would prevent this as well.

I have a leopard wrasse a christmas and a puddingwife in my tank and Had a mandrin but thankgod he went down the overflow to the sump he would have starved very quickly I dont even see many pods anymore out in the open. I wouldnt chance it mine looks cool and happy in my 65 gallon sump though.
