    Good call...

The retracting tenticles did cause a synapse to go off for me....I've been having a difficult time trying to locate any pics that seem to closely resemble this critter. I was stuck on Stichopus chloronotus....however, the pic above seemed to indicate a smooth body with stalk like antenae. I'm not disputing the cucumber theory at all, I'm just showing where my logic was coming from :D I also understand there are so many varieties of cukes - we may never get an ID.

Probably millions of varieties of Cukes and Sea slugs so ID would almost be impossible.

Fletch, Pull it out of the tank fry it up and if it tastes like Ginseng then it is ( was ) Stichopus chloronotus :)

Do you think it will hurt anything in the tank?
JohnO I think I wait for it to get bigger before I fry it up it is only about 1/8" wide and 1/2' long Not much to snack on LOL [smiley=chef.gif] ;D

I wish I knew what this dam thing was!!! [smiley=annoyed.gif]

With most sand sifting type cukes, sand goes in one end and comes out the other ;-) ( assuming it is a cuke )

Well, considering the size, I would leave it alone and just keep observing :)
