HMMMMM that is an interesting question. If so my fish will not have high blood pressure. I am interested in the answer to this as well. I just don't think that much leaches out of the skin but who knows.

I think that it can...my mother was having a real hard time keeping anything alive in her tank. There was no explanation for why her fish kept dying.

She has massive heart disease and is on so much heart meds, along with many other health conditions, plus she is on a lot of pain meds and other medications. We finally started to see a trend...when she would do maintnance, she would loose fish by the next day. She did not use any lotions or anything on her body.

So we tried something and had her stay out of the tank..and just like that she did not loose anymore fish! She did get some coralife gloves so she can work in her tank...but healthwise she is not really able to keep up with it so I do it.

should probably wear gloves no matter what...esp with diabetes. If you get a cut on your hand or something you can not heal as well as others. In reality we all should wear gloves.....

I would have never thought that much could leach out but hey you smell of garlic when you eat it so I guess in theory it could happen
