So I have a 10 gallon nano with about 15-17lbs of Live rock various corals... would it be ok if I get 2 clowns I mean I plan on it but wanna make sure they will have enough room... I plan on getting them together I just don't want them to be stressed out. The clean up crew is only 5 astral snails 1 chestnut snail 1 emerald 1 peppermint and 5 small hermits

them producing too much waste and my params getting out of whack. NO3 going up, green hair algae, not to mention fish just dying in general.. That was just my experience.. When I stepped up to my 30 everything was waaaaay more stable.

Yeah that is what I was afraid of the too much waste... I was thinking about running a 5 gallon sump underneath but I was thinking just way too much work... and I already have hair algea because the previous owner of the liverock I got it had a horrible growth so lately I have been dosing the tank w/ Magnesium

2 clowns in a 10 gallon is wayyyyy to small in my honest opinion. I have a 10 gallon nano right now with a firefish goby and a lawnmower blenny. I wouldn't put more than 2-3 inches of fish in a 10 gallon. Your asking for trouble with even one clown

WOO-HOO, I got to love it when someone other than me comes up with a reason to upgrade.

Just curoius where are you located, I have a Current 24 gallon Nano and stand to get rid of-Just kidding, I mean I have one to sell but I have never shipped a tank before-

Glad to see you are going bigger-it is always better and easier-at least thats the goal

    Enjoy;)

If you want two clowns then I agree I would upgrade. If you really like the look of a tiny well maintained reef (I sure do!) then just get a small fish and shrimp combo. Too many times reefers dont prioritize the reef in there tank.
