    hi guys

my maroon clownfish had marine ich and i kept him in hyposalinity water for 1 week already. his spots were all cleared up since 2 days ago and there's no more flashing. he seems perfectly fine now. i have another tank that is ich free and newly cycled. when can i start rising the salinity and put him there?;D

You can do that as soon as you want the ich to come back.
The only useful method of treating it is with copper based medications in a quarantine tank.
    Hyposalinity does little most times.

what do you think about Hyposalinity Treatment - Reeflands Forum then?
i would hate to stress my fish with copper medicine. which is why i chose hyposalinity treatment instead..

Never visited there, I'm just telling you what has and what has not worked for me. And 1 week is not nearly enough time in QT. The ich will come right back until the fish is no longer stressed, is eating healthy, and it's own immune system fights off the ich on it's own - lowering the salinity, raising the temp, and other reef-safe ich products simply are not very effective.

    I already told you.
Either copper based treatment in QT tank, or just let the fish get over it on its own as long as it is eating healthy.
