    Hey team,
So i bought 2 tilefish the other day, who loved swimming together, (Lenny and Carl). I walked past my fish tank, saw them both nice and healthy then i went away and returned 5 minutes later to see Carl who seemed to be having a fit swimming like crazy into the sand and against the rocks and then fell limp, i picked him up and this is what had happend to him.. can anyone identify what would of caused this? Seems like a perfect hole.. A crab or a worm perhaps??

Also in my tank I have, 1 Chromie, 2 Damsels and 1 Wrasse.

    Wow, that's really strange.

Sorry to hear. :( I don't know what else would have caused this. :-/

Now that wound didnt get there from hitting rocks, he had the little spasm and swam into everything because of the hole, before he died

What inverts are in your tank? Any large hermits?

Did you use live rock to cycle your tank?

I'm betting a hermit snagged him-that looks like the hole was ripped into him-I'm so sorry :(
