Can a small fungia eat a somewhat big piece of shrimp ?

I have a small orange fungia, and I was feeding a small shrimp "cube" to my bubble tip anemone (about the size of a pea, maybe just a tad smaller) and it fell off the feeding stick before I got to the anemone, and fell right on my fungia, who grabbed it and pretty much brought it to it's mouth and proceeded to swallow the whole thing ! The mouth area looked swollen, now it's looking very swollen .... it'll be alright though, right ?

Here's a random pic of it, so you can kind off see what size it is:

Looks like he's saying "feed me" :). They are pigs but I would not suggest feeding him too much or too often, maybe once a week or something. He looks good!

    alright lol.
I usually feed him just my regular coral mix (Chromaplex + Cyclop-Eeze) 3 times a week, but it's a very liquid mix compared to a piece of shrimp lol
I am new to corals in general, my LFS recommended the mix I posted above (3 times a week), is it good enough ?

Did the cyclopeeze come in a tin can(freeze dried) or is it frozen? I found the freeze dried stuff extremely hard, if not impossible to sink. The chromaplex is another story.... I really see no need to add to add supplements like those but that is just my opinion. People use them, but the results will vary. What type of salt are you using, do you test your params, what kind of lights have you got, and what type of corals do you have? Sorry for asking so many questions but it will give us a better grounds to help you on this journey.

It's the freeze dried one, it is indeed very hard to mix with the chromaplex but it sinks decently, but then again I am spot feeding with a turkey baster and with the pumps off. So you are saying I wouldn't even have to add the Chromaplex ? That's the only thing I feed my corals though.
My LFS said feed the corals that, feed the fish the pellets and 2 or 3 times a week feed the anemone a few little pieces of shrimp (which I have now) or silversides (which I need to get).

I am buying natural sea water directly from my LFS, it sits around 1.0240 to 1.0245 in my tank. I test my parameters pretty much every day or every other day (Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, Phosphate once a week, Calcium once a week, specific gravity with pinpoint monitor, pH continuously with pinpoint monitor, water temp with 2 different temp systems, dKH once a week and Magnesium once every other week)

The lights are 6x39W T5s, 3 are 10,000K and 3 are Actinic, as for the corals I have:

Your micro-dedrophyllia MIGHT ingest the chromaplex as will your two hitchhiking sponges. None of the rest of your corals will though. 99% of the corals in the world are meat eaters. That Halimeda macroalgae only needs light. Your lobophyllia looks very hungry. You should target feed that with frozen mysis or enriched brine.

lol, was that Japanese or something ? Sorry I am not sure what micro-dedrophyllia and lobophyllia are, I think lobophyllia is the green brain looking thing, if yes then that picture is of the day I got the LR that it was on, it looks better now.

So I should buy frozen mysis or enriched brine (are those in liquid forms ?) and target feed all of them the same way I do with the Chromaplex/CyclopEeze mix now ?

    The orange coral

    Yes

Most of your corals are LPS. If you have moonlights the easiest way to feed them is right as the lights go out for the night, put a tiny amount of food in the tank. Wait a half hour. They should have their feeding tentacles out. target feed them frozen mysis and brine with a turkey baster.

alright, so just to make sure, when the lights go out and all I have are the moonlights on, just put some food in there (1/4 teaspoon or so ?) then wait 30 mins and then target feed them ? Should I leave the pumps on or off when target feeding (one is 660gph the other is 330gph)

I usually leave them off for 15 minutes after I target feed.

You might not even need to put the initial tiny bit of food in as your fungia has it's feeding tentacles out, your micro-dendrophyllia does, your lobophyllia doesn't though.

BTW.....did you notice that your favia was spawning in that picture?
