Alright so I'm trying to figure out how much flow I need in my biocube 29. Right now I'm running a koralia 750 and the stock return. That's 1100 gph in all and 38gph per gallon. Would I be ok just running a koralia 260 with the stock return? That would be 700gph in all and 24gph per gallon.

Don't get caight up in numbers they are meaningless. Everyones tank is different because everyones needs and aquascape are different.;)

Noooooo! I love numbers!;) haha jk they suck. Anyways in YOUR opinion
do you think I'll be alright with the stock return and a koralia 260? This is what my aquascape looks like.[IMG] the 260 would go where the 750 currently is.

This is always a very difficult question to answer. The only way to know it's get then in your tank and see if you have dead spots. You're trying to keep all the water in motion. I would imagine those two pumps listed should be plenty. Ai recall your goals are simply softys and a few lps is that right?

Why are you wanting to step down on one pump?

Yep, softies and Lps. I want to take out the 750 because it's an eye sore and it seems to be a bit much for my clowns. I'll take out the 750 and replace it with the 260 after school and see how it does. When I get corals in a few weeks I'll see if it's enough to keep everything moving,

A Koralia 750 in a 29 is exceedingly more than necessary, IMO. Especially for soft and LPS.

I have the 260 in my cube. I did upgrade the return pump to a mj1200. But I really like the flow with the 260. It keeps some low flow areas, because in my experience my frogspawn wasn't a fan of high flow.

maybe two 260's if you have some dead spots...

Or just save up and get a vortech mp10. This is all I use anymore because they are such small profile and are barely noticeable, no current in the water, and they are IMO the best pumps out there.
