wouldnt a dosing pump be cheaper and allow for for more fine tuning of the system? I could be wrong but I looked at both as im building my 210gal DT for mostly SPS and a bubble magnus dosing pump seemed the way to go to me. Cause you will have to dose the big 3 anyways why not buy one thing for them all and call it a day and then if you want you can have it feed liquid coral food for you also.

That would be an option im looking into as well im just not sure which is a better way to go i like that on a reactor there isnt much that it doesnt feed to my tank while a dosing pump ill still jave to buy the liquid calcium and such which is what i do currently im looking at all options right now, and money isnt really a huge issue atm i just want something reliable so my parameters are steady all the time if a dosing pump can help do that it may be the way to go, what arr some good ones to go with?

Bubble Magus Dosing Pump BM-T01 - English this is suppose to be a really good one. I havent used one myself but I think this will be the way I go, then add on the extention so that i can have coral food and aminos dosed one to twice a week.

Looks to be a decent unit, but i can get a calcium reactor for a 100$ more ill have to do a bunch of research and debating as to which way is the best way to go maybe someone will chime in with the pump or reactor and put some input in, this hobby is fun but there are soo many different ways to go thays why you guys are here!! Thanks for some input!!

I've always had issues with Calcium reactors and I don't like refilling the tanks as I haven't had a convenient co2 source. I also haven't had much luck dialing then in correctly.

I find Kalk to be far more simple. I'm going to be building a new DIY Kalk reactor this week. Pretty easy to do.

Some people run all their top off through their Kalk reactors, but I'm not a fan of that as your dosed amount changes as your evaporation goes up and down.

I like to run a dosing pump to drop RO into the reactor.
