I am going to be upgrading from our 52 gal tank to a much larger tank in the not too distant future. I was wondering where everyone buys their larger tanks (>150gal).

Foster and Smith have some preset models that come drilled with filtration, stand, etc. Sort of an "all-inclusive resort" style. Does anyone have experience with this tank or its components?

    An example:

I would look at your local Craig's List for a tank. You will save a lot of money for the expensive important items.

NIght stick, yes, they make a pretty good product, but dont have the best people skills. I have bought a custom sump from them and now a used 180. both very high quality products.

+1 on the craigslist or go to Reefcentral or this site and look for tanks for sale. we had a 180 tank, stand and hood go for $500 a week or so ago. also I sold my 225 for $400 online with stand, sump and hood.

It certainly seems cheaper to buy from someone and I could do a lot more customizing that way. Thanks for the tips!

Graigs list is where i got mine. My next one is coming from glascages though. I like there 240 tall. If i could find the rite tank on craigs list it would be great but sometimes when you get into the bigger tanks they want to much for them because the sellers are wanting to get back what they have put into it. In most cases they dont. Your heading the rite direction.

I buy from either my local club or my LFS. But +1 on Craig's list....a lot of good deals on there.
