Well 3reefers, Thought I'd share my personal review of Bulk Reef Supply Rox 0.8 Carbon Pellets. Since putting this carbon in a media bag last week and checking daily to see results. I'd have to say this is a very good product. I used to use regular API? gravel type carbon in the blue cardboard quart containers. never had any complaints, but after using this BRS stuff, when I look through side panel of tank length wise there isnt really even a tint to the water anymore. I couldnt even imagine the results via a reactor.. I definitly will keep using this stuff in the future. just thought I'd throw in my .2 cents.
    ;D

using regular carbon, before rox 0.8 carbon

    +1

the improved clarity is obvious from the photos
those lower corals may need to wear shades now as it will be a bit brighter for them LOL

I use the same carbon and love it. My water is very clear. Glad you started using it, your tank looks great!

Thanks for the info on that carbon.

Can you use it in a Phosban reactor also?

yes it can be used in a reactor and works better & even faster too.

    here's direct info from brs,

    Carbon Rox 0.8
Filter socks & Reactors capable of using small particle media

just beware the stuff says pellets, but its has smaller diameter then the lead from a #2 pencil.. very fine.

Carbon can be run is bags and test numbers show it. BRS does both. Reactors are more efficient, and will clear stuff faster, but bags are still very beneficial.

According to BRS Rox .8 is the best for us... I'm sure thats biased... but I also trust BRS. The only thingI don't like about Rox .8 is how small it is and how easily it plugs. I still use it, but it does plug easily..... in a reactor.

Not really trying to counter anything, just sharing my thoughts. Glad it worked so well for you and a picture is worth a thousand opinions. :D

I love this stuff, I've been using it for two years. Your photos aren't showing up for me.
