Build an overflow?

    Could i build an overflow into an acrylic tank? like in the corner of the tank?

    Sure. Acrylic can be drilled and a box made to fit around the whole.

    There are many ways to do this. Like Jason said, you can drill a hole and make a box to surround it, or you can drill a hole, put a bulkhead on it and just put a strainer on it to drain it into a sump/fuge.
