Does this provide any danger to a reef?

I don't know about 'danger', depends what's causing them.

MOst don't like it 'cause microbubbles make your water look cloudy.

In my 10 gallon sump even with bubble traps I was getting micro bubbles. I put filter socks on the drain line and on the sump output and no more bubbles. I also increased the amount of water in the sump.

    Agree, to an extent.

However, in the extreme fashion, I have seen microbubbles in such a large quantity they caused corals to slime. But this isn't really within the moderation of the original questions intent. So long as the bubbles are not causing a visible reaction to corals, no worries.

It is nothing extreme, I just forgot to top up the sump and the tank had a lot of micro-bubbles. Someone told me I could expect death in my reef - I have never seen it happen, so I thought I would look into it.
